Motor Insurance Database (MID)

CBT Training Tool

This training tool is specifically designed to enhance the knowledge of broker staff around the core MID requirements, whether for personal lines motor business (private motor) or for commercial lines motor (fleet and motor trade) and should be viewed alongside other MID brochures, leaflets or information packs which you may have received either directly or via your NUI relationship manager.

It addresses the key facts surrounding the MID database, why it is so important and the MID processing fundamentals of personal and commercial lines motor. Most importantly it highlights those areas where brokers and customers can make a real difference in terms of long term MID compliance.

To ensure the reader has digested the key facts and to make the training modules more interactive, we have included short quizzes at the end of each and a summary quiz as the last module. We would recommend that users work through the modules in order and complete the quizzes where they appear to get the maximum benefit from the text.

As with many things, MID is continuing to evolve and we would therefore envisage future updates or enhancements to the CBT. Some of these may flow from feedback obtained from our valued broker partners and we would encourage you to provide such feedback whenever you wish.
