Contract Certainty

Personal Lines Guidelines

The personal e-services system allows brokers to accept the following referrals without the need to contact Norwich Union:

  • Minimum Security referrals;
  • Valuations for Jewellery, Furs and Paintings with an individual value greater than £5,000

Following the introduction of Contract Certainty, brokers will be required to issue a letter containing subjectivity wording(s). This letter will need to be sent out on your own headed paper with the quote/policy documentation.

You must always enclose a letter containing any subjectivity wording when sending out policy or quote documentation. If for any reason this cannot be done and the documentation will be delayed, you must send out a letter containing the subjectivity wording and advise that documentation will follow shortly.

If the policyholder is able to comply with the subjectivity before cover starts, no letter needs to be issued and no further action taken.

If the policyholder is not able to comply with the subjectivity within the agreed timescales; or you have any doubts as to whether the subjectivity is required, please contact your usual Norwich Union underwriting office.

If you have any further queries please contact your account manager.
