What is the profile of a Supplier Claims Trouble Shooter?

The Supplier trouble shooter is the central point of contact within each Supplier for Commercial Claims. The purpose of this role is to improve perception of the Supply network within the Commercial Claims teams and thus improve conversion into the Supply chain.

This person is an experienced member of the Supplier Team, has sound knowledge of their supplier process and is efficient in dealing with and resolving complex issues. With a knowledge of commercial claims this person is experienced in dealing with Customer Complaints.

The Supplier Trouble Shooter has excellent communication skills and is empathetic with Customers, Managing Agents (on behalf of Customers), Brokers as well as Norwich Union General Insurance (NUGI) Claims Handlers.

The role requires a pro-active individual who can be a positive endorsement of the Supplier Network within the Commercial Property Market.

The Supplier claims trouble shooter objectives are to:
  • To become the Commercial Expert within the Suppliers, recognising the impact of claims on Commercial Customers and the role of Brokers in the claim lifecycle.
  • To promote the differences between Commercial and Household claims within the Supplier.
  • Promote the role and their Supplier by regular visits to the Commercial Claims Teams.
  • To build and develop relationships with Commercial Claims Teams and promote Supplier usage on claims.
  • To take Ownership of problems.
  • To ensure all issues raised to them are resolved quickly and effectively and that the outcome is agreed with the Claims Handler.
  • To ensure Commercial Claims teams are kept updated if there are any problems/Delays/Complaints on the Claim.
  • To ensure regular communication is made with Supplier Co-ordinators.
  • Ensure that Focus Team feedback is being fed back to the Focus team within recognised timescales of one week.
  • To work with NUGI to continually drive improvement in our Commercial Supply Chain.
