Field Force
About the Team
Field Force is a team of over 200, comprising Motor Engineers, Claims Investigators and support services. The aim of the team is to provide Norwich Union General Insurance with a market leading investigative, negotiation and authorisation service to claims which ensures that claims are settled timely and equitably.
We employ two types of Engineer:
- Claims Engineers - who physically see the vehicles
- Image Engineers - who authorise motor claims remotely, viewing images which our repairers send of the vehicles.
We also employ two types of investigators:
- Claims Investigators - who are based in the field and visit our customers
- Office based Claims Investigators - who contact our customers using the telephone and interview them in this way.
The types of claims which are dealt with by the Claims Investigators include motor, liability, environmental health and total around 500k. The Field Force is one of the few areas of the business who physically meet many of our customers and provide the service to IB, NUD, HHH and Partnerships.
Both the engineers and investigators benefit from the latest technology allowing paperless transmission of instruction requests and report fulfilment.
