New - Enhancements to our household products
From 2006, several changes to the Your House and Home Plus products will take effect. As a result of those changes, the products have been awarded the maximum 5 Star rating by Defaqto, an independent company who rate the level of cover provided by insurance products. The new rating means Norwich Union is now in the top 10% of providers for these products*.
Enhancements include an increase to the sum insured from £40,000 to £55,000 and a £3,000 increase for food and gifts during religious festivals. The cover for title deeds reinstatements has also been increased from £500 to £2,500 and a brand new Identity Theft Helpline has been introduced. This helpline will provide advice on how to prevent crime and actions to take if a policyholder becomes the victim of identity theft.
The new covers will take effect from 1st January 2006 for new business and 1st April 2006 for renewals. The new household documentation is available to view online dated from 01.12.05.
