You may have seen from this months News in Brief that some of our car insurance products have been rated 5 Star for Product Features and benefits by independent market research company Defaqto.
The products which have achieved the accreditation mark are
- Private Car Powerpoint
- Private Car Home and Drivers Club
- Private Car e-services
From the end of February Policy Booklets and Prospectus will display the 5 Star logo.
What are Defaqto Star Ratings?
Defaqto's unique Star Rating System is based on scoring an extensive range of features and benefits, chosen for their relevance to consumers who will be looking to buy this type of product. Each criteria is scored using a benchmarking system known as product DNA, that awards 5 points for the best available terms and 1 for the worst terms. These scores are then brought together to provide a balanced view of a product`s overall quality compared with its competitors.
Definitions
5 Stars - Product is in the top 10 percent of policies
4 Stars - Product is in the next 15 percent of policies
3 Stars - Product is in the second quartile of policies
2 Stars - Product is in the third quartile of policies
1 Star - Product is the lowest quartile of policies
