Motor Trade - New features and services update
Norwich Union has refreshed it's Motor Trade policy adding new features and services to help you retain and win new customers.
In addition to enhanced cover and increased limits, we have a range of exciting new services available with the policy that can be offered to your motor trade customers.
New features
The following covers will now be included in the policy automatically:
- Engineering breakdown and explosion and collapse
- Replacement locks and keys for vehicles up to a standard limit of £50,000 per period of insurance
- Motor legal protection
In addition, the territorial limits in the Road Risks section of the policy will be expanded from UK-only to include most European Countries, including all of the European Union.
The Motor Trade policy now includes as standard many of the previously 'request only' risk options, such as seasonal increase and discount to effect sale.
The following new cover options can now be added:
- Computers
- Employee dishonesty
- Professional indemnity
- Commercial legal protection
- Business travel
What's more the following services are available to your clients in any combination when they take out or renew a Norwich Union Motor Trade policy.
New services
HPI Services
- Free Vehicle ID checks for 3 months
- Discounted vehicle provenance checks for new customers
- Discounted CAP valuations for 3 months to new HPI customers
- Half-price CAP/Glass's valuations for 3 months for existing HPI clients
RAC Roadside Assistance
- 6 months cover provided with new or second-hand vehicles
- low-cost product to the motor trader with options to upgrade to 'at home' and 'recovery to anywhere in the UK'
Driveaway
- A facility to offer 7 days' free comprehensive cover when a motor trader's customer purchases a new or used vehicle
- Electronic delivery of the customer's cover note direct to the dealer
- Customer can driveaway their new vehicle 'on the day'
- Facilitates faster turnaround of vehicles on the forecourt
- Free access for 6 months
Further details of these services will be included in new business and renewal documentation. Your clients can then simply register directly for the services by phone - quoting their policy number.
