Following a recent review of motor glass claims, Norwich Union is introducing a pre-authorisation process for motor glass claims.

A telephone based authorisation service is now in place for non approved suppliers of motor glass repairs/ replacements.

This new process allows us to continue to provide your customers with a choice of supplier, whilst maintaining an efficient service.

The new authorisation service will approve a fair and reasonable market price for each glass claim, based on the type of glass being fitted.

Suppliers should call the authorisation team directly on 08453 006007 to receive an authorised price, which will be quoted before any deduction of the policy excess.

This new service aligns our process for motor glass claims with accident damage claims and we are confident this will have minimal impact on customer service.

Please note that the authorisation process will not apply to Norwich Union preferred suppliers. If your supplier wishes to contact the Glass Claims Authorisation team they can call them directly on 08453 006007.
