System Release Weekend of 8th/9th December 2007

Please note the Personal e-services system will be unavailable during the hours of 6pm on Saturday 8th December until 1am Monday 10th December.

The Personal e-services landing page that is currently in use, is being removed, and will be replaced with a new screen layout. The only change to the functionality is that you will now see buttons for Claims and Commercial e-services.

What is being delivered?

Integrated Medical Screening (IMS)

You will automatically see the new IMS screens the first time you process business on Monday 10th December. This will be the easiest way to get underwriting decisions on medical referrals.

We will honour existing guaranteed quotes on e-services (within the 30-day quote guarantee period) so long as no material facts have changed. If any material facts have changed you will need to generate a revised quote which will require medical screening to be completed.

Here's what to do:

On the Travel Client Summary screen within e-services, you will need to ask the underwriting criteria questions. If any answer is YES you will need to add the medical condition(s).
ALL medical conditions disclosed must be searched for in the database.

You can search using 'starts with' or 'contains' using as little few as 2 letters, of the full or part of the name of the medical condition e.g. using 'starts with' entering 'as' will allow you to find asthma, and using 'contains' entering 'bl' would allow you to find 'high blood pressure'.

You will then be directed through a question set, if relevant, for that condition and any linked conditions, after which you will be shown either an ACCEPT or EXCLUDE decision for each condition.

Once all conditions have been screened, the decisions applicable to each medical condition can then be advised to your customer. It is important not to advise the customer of a decision before this time as the underwriting result for individual medical conditions may change during the course of a screening due to the affect of other conditions disclosed.

Claims Enquiry

Using the Claims button, you will be able to view details of some Personal lines claims logged under your agency reference(s).

Commercial e-services button

For brokers who use our Commercial e-services system, there is now a button on the landing page that will allow you to log in.

Future Dated Duplicate Certificates

Following feedback from our brokers, we are pleased to announce that you will be able to print duplicate certificates, where cover on a vehicle has not yet commenced e.g. where an Mid Term Adjustment (MTA) has been processed in the future.
