We've made changes to our Engineering and Computer policy
We are transferring all our existing policyholders to our new product as their policies fall due for renewal from 1st March 2008.
Our product is one of the best in the market and we have just made it better!
We have increased over 25 of our limits under a number of sections of the policy, including more than 10 in the computer wording alone.
Believe it or not, this equates to over £1m worth of available extra cover in total. Not only that we have added a number of additional covers, removed some exceptions and generally made our wording clearer
Here are just a few examples..................
Under the Computer section, the following clauses have been added:
- Virus Seek and Destroy Costs provides cover for costs incurred to locate and remove detectable viruses, up to a limit of £25,000
- Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Disposal Costs provides cover for costs incurred to comply with applicable legislation, up to a limit of £25,000
Machinery Damage now includes a Damage to Surrounding Property clause where indemnity is provided for damage arising from Explosion or Collapse of boiler and pressure Plant or Machinery up to a limit of £250,000.
Under Own Plant, the basis of settlement for CESAR registered plant less than 12 months old is now reinstatement as opposed to indemnity previously.
- The limit for Full Failure of Utilities Telecommunications has increased to £250,000, under the Business Interruption section
There's plenty more and you will find details of all the key changes and the full policy wording in our Engineering pages.
