This workshop explores the underwriter's approach to a broad range of small to medium size risks. Emphasis will be placed on issues such as:
The property risk
- Hazards that cause concern such as construction, heating and processes
- The property, sums to be insured and inflationary protection
- Choosing the right cover: specified perils or all risks
- Critical all risks exclusions
- Main clauses and conditions and their implications.
The business interruption risk
- How to add a Business Interruption cover to a property damage risk
- Gross profit cover and how it compares to increase in cost of working
- Calculating sums insured and indemnity period
- Range of perils
- Extensions
- Specialist covers; advanced gross profit and farming.
